On August 26, the Xinhua News Agency interviewed Dr. Naser EL-Sheimy, chief scientist of the ZongMu Technical Advisory Committee (Z-TAC), asking about his idea about the auto-driving market in China. According to Dr. Sheimy, China is one of the fastest-growing auto-driving markets. Like things with other markets, the cultivation of China’s auto-driving market is subject to the restrictions of laws and regulations. On August 30, Ling Yunjian, special assistant to the CEO of ZongMu Technology, was invited to the English live broadcast of the Xinhua News Agency, introducing ZongMu’s autonomous valet parking system to the overseas audiences.

Dr. EL–Sheimy, chief scientist of Z-TAC and academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, delivered the keynote speech Ubiquitous Navigation and Positioning Technologies in Auto-driving at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2019.



Successful auto-driving navigation and positioning technologies feature low cost, good accuracy and sound continuity. The precise point positioning (PPP) solution is the only one that meets the three standards because it needs no RTK base station, has no limit over the operating scope, and is cost effective. ZongMu’s Instant PPP (IP3) multi-sensor fusion positioning solution meets the requirements of low cost, good accuracy and sound continuity by leveraging the consumer-grade satellite navigation system, inertial navigation system and vehicle body information, visual navigation system and the millimeter-wave radar system.



Dr. Sheimy supported his argumentation by playing the video on ZongMu’s autonomous valet parking system designed for FAW-Hongqi, showing how the advanced autonomous valet parking system realizes the goal of low cost, good accuracy and sound continuity by adopting the IP3 multi-sensor fusion positioning solution. ZongMu’s leading autonomous valet parking system provides one-click parking, autonomous parking search, autonomous paring and one-click hailing services. It also navigates the vehicles to avoid passengers and other obstacles.


Dr. Sheimy concluded his speech by noting that only the auto-driving solutions featuring low cost, good accuracy and sound continuity can be put into commercial application, providing safer, smarter and more economical autonomous parking and auto-driving products for consumers.



Echoing Dr. Sheimy’s statements, Mr. Li Deyi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, pointed out the auto-driving scenarios should include auto-parking, site-specific pick-up, bus rapid transit and auto-driving in designated areas.

Z-TAC is composed of experts on autonomous system, automobile multi-sensor system, global navigation satellite system, positioning and navigation technologies, machine vision, machine intelligence, as well as positioning and navigation standards.

Z-TAC is composed of three members, namely Prof. Naser El-Sheimy, Prof. Gao Yang and Prof. Aboelmagd Noureldin.


  • Dr. Naser EL-Sheimy

    Dr. Naser El-Sheimy is the professor and former head of the Department of Surveying and Mapping of the University of Calgary. He also holds titles such as the chief scientist on mobile multi-sensor system in Canada, the academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the researcher of the Institute of Navigation, and the specially-invited expert of China’s Recruitment Program of Global Experts. He focuses on the spatial information multi-sensor system, GPS/inertial navigation system and mobile surveying and mapping system. Dr. Naser M. El-Sheimy has authored and co-authored 2 books, 6 chapters and over 450 papers, wining over 30 Canadian and international awards. Dr. Naser M. El-Sheimy worked as the chairman of the Sensor and Platform Committee of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing from 2008 to 2012 and has organized and chaired several international meetings, including the conference on the global navigation satellite system of the Institute of Navigation.

  • Dr. Yang Gao

    Dr. Gao Yang is the professor of the University of Calgary. Dedicated to the satellite positioning and navigation system and the theories on and application of sensor fusion, he has published over 300 papers. Some of his findings have been put into commercial application. His contribution and excellent leadership earn him several awards on the development and application of the high-precision global navigation satellite system. Active in scientific sectors, he serves as the founding chairman of the Chinese Professionals in Global Positioning Systems, the editor of several international journals, and the chairman of the technical committee on High-Precision Global Navigation Satellite System of the International Association of Geodesy. Dr. Gao Yang holds the doctoral degree of the University of Calgary and the certificate of registered engineer.

  • Dr. Aboelmagd Noureldin

    Dr. Aboelmagd Noureldin is the professor of Department of Electronic &Computer Engineering of the Queen’s University. His studies the application of AI, digital signal procession, spectrum estimation and denoising, wavelet multiresolution analysis, non-linear estimation and adaptive filtering in mobile multi-sensor fusion navigation and positioning sectors. He invented several reliable navigation approaches for the global navigation satellite systems in multiple cities and complex indoor environments. Dr. Aboelmagd Noureldin holds the doctoral degree of electronic engineering granted by the University of Calgary and is a senior IEEE member. After publishing over 300 papers, Dr. Aboelmagd Noureldin owns 6 patents on positioning and navigation.

From July 13 to July 14, 2019, ZongMu, upon invitation, participated in the 2nd China-Europe Innovation and Vocational Development Forum & 2019 Talent Fair jointly held by the Shanghai Committee of Science and Technology (Shanghai Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs), the Shanghai Association for International Exchange of Personnel and the China-Germany Education and Science & Technology Cooperation Promotion Center in Stuttgart and Munich. This event also unveiled ZongMu’s Campus Recruitment Program 2020.


At the Forum, Dr. Li Xuyang, GM of the Intelligent Sensor Business introduced the development strategy and commercial application of the Autonomous valet parking system. Then he shared his choice of leaving Bosch and joining ZongMu as well as his work and life after coming back to China.


Wang Fan, GM of the Intelligent Traffic Business elaborated on ZongMu’s technical route, competitive strengths and products under mass production. Kang Baoguo, vice-president of Human Resources & Administration talked about ZongMu’s talent strategies and policies, corporate culture and recruitment progress.


The wonderful share was applauded by the participants, who showed zest for ZongMu’s leading auto-driving technologies, advantages as the first winner of the fixed contracts with domestic automobile manufacturers on mass production, and talent policies that are both competitive and friendly. They expressed the interest to learn more about ZongMu, the development of auto-driving in China, and the work and life back in China.



From July 13 to July 14, 2019, ZongMu, upon invitation, participated in the 2nd China-Europe Innovation and Vocational Development Forum & 2019 Talent Fair jointly held by the Shanghai Committee of Science and Technology (Shanghai Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs), the Shanghai Association for International Exchange of Personnel and the China-Germany Education and Science & Technology Cooperation Promotion Center in Stuttgart and Munich. The Zong-share Program is carried out well as scheduled over the first half of 2019. After being launched at GAC R&D Center and Chang’an Automobile, this program was presented at GWM HAVAL R&D Center on July 23.


Wang Fan, GM of the Intelligent Traffic Business, Dr. Li Xuyang, GM of the Intelligent Sensor Business, and Xie Pengfu, lead engineer on function safety had in-depth exchanges with nearly 50 engineers from GWM’s departments related to intelligent driving on auto-parking technologies and related products.



Wang Fan shared the architecture and technical solution of the autonomous valet parking (AVP) system and then went further to introduce complex technologies such as the vehicle status estimation technologies and their application in the unmanned system, the multi-sensor fusion positioning technology, and the visual SLAM technologies. Heated discussion on the high-precision positioning of AVP, parking scenarios and the business model of AVP took place.


Then Dr. Li Xuyang reviewed the history of the vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar. By sorting out the product development system of millimeter radar products, Dr. Li shared the development of radar hardware, software and system, the hardware radio frequency, as well as the radar algorithm and feature development. Also, Dr. Li explained why ZongMu focuses on the millimeter-wave radar by going through the key technical performance indicators of millimeter-wave radar that meet the needs of the AVP system, listing the latest software and hardware achievements of the millimeter-wave radar technology, and answering questions that emerge during the application of the millimeter-wave radar technologies in GWM’s production practices.


Xie Pengfu concluded the share by reporting ZongMu’s progress in the functional safety concept design, the functional safety system, and the hardware development of the AVP system, highlighting the functional safety design of the hardware and software of the AVP system.


The participants showed strong interest in ZongMu’s AVP system and functional safety, the visual SLAM technologies, the navigation and positioning technology, and the millimeter-wave radar technologies. They had heated discussions on the issues they encountered in project development.


As the third stop of the Zong-share Program, GWM learned much about ZongMu’s research achievements and advanced technologies in auto-parking, auto-driving and intelligent driving. ZongMu looks forward to working with GWM as early as possible.


In future, the Zong-share Program will be launched in cities like Beijing and Shanghai, having technical exchanges with local automobile manufacturers and sharing more cutting-edge technologies and latest trends. ZongMu welcomes more automobile manufacturers to join the Zong-share Program, inspiring better ideas and facilitating the commercial application of more advanced technologies.


About the Zong-share Program

The Zong-share Program launches regular technical communication activities between ZongMu and domestic automobile manufacturers. ZongMu shares the evolution, latest R&D achievements and trends related to auto-driving from aspects of technology, application and trends in sectors like auto-driving, assisted driving and intelligent sensors.

On July 3, Li Huiyue, deputy mayor of Xiamen, Huang Xiaozhou, secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the Management Committee of the High-tech Zone under the Torch Plan in Xiamen, and Huang Ying, deputy head of the Jimei District in Xiamen, among others visited the Xiamen branch of ZongMu.



Accompanied by Tang Rui, founder and CEO of ZongMu, and Li Xuyang, vice-president of ZongMu, the leaders visited the labs and offices. Li asked about the technology rationale behind ZongMu’s products and had thorough discussion with Tang Rui and Li Xuyang over the product features and applications. Then a meeting was held between the leadership of Xiamen and the senior management of ZongMu.


At the meeting, the leadership watched the video of ZongMu’s AVP system. Learning about that ZongMu is the first and only winner of the fixed contracts with domestic automobile manufacturers on mass production and that the AVP system would be put into mass production in 2020, Li Huiyue noted, “it is easy to design prototypes but hard to turn them into actual products when it comes to the auto-driving.”


Then Li asked about the difficulties that ZongMu was faced about and what the government can do to help. After learning about the existing challenges encountered by ZongMu, Li ordered the related leaders to help coordinate resources to address them.


Tang Rui highly appreciated the support and help from the governments and expressed the resolution to continue to facilitate the mass production of L4 auto-driving products, building the L4 auto-driving technology ecosystem and providing the integrated intelligent mobility solutions. ZongMu will contribute to the economic development of Xiamen and celebrate the 70th anniversary of New China with actual deeds.



Li Huiyue also participated in the settlement of ZongMu at the new office site and cut the ribbon for congratulation.

On July 1, 2019, ZongMu announced the completion of the C+ round investment worth nearly RMB 100 million. Led by Qualcomm Ventures, this round of financing was followed by Legend Capital and CTJungle. This was the third time that the Legend Capital invested in ZongMu after the B round and C round investment.


According to Shen Jin, global vice-president of Qualcomm and managing director of Qualcomm Ventures, “Qualcomm Ventures has invested in many innovative tech businesses with the potentials to disrupt the industries. ZongMu is a leading auto-driving and ADAS solution provider in China. We are happy to invest in ZongMu and to facilitate the transformation of the driving experience in the 5G era.”


As far as Tang Rui, founder and CEO of ZongMu, was concerned, “this round of investment is crucial for ZongMu. Zongmu would continue to work with internationally leading partners specializing in ADAS and semi-conductors for auto-driving, giving rise to a complete product line that ranges from assisted driving to auto-driving. 广州小鹏汽车科技有限公司自动驾驶中心高级经理管勋以“小鹏汽车:中国自动驾驶应用的探索者”详细介绍了国内智能驾驶遇到的主要挑战,并基于此提出了小鹏汽车的解决方案。



广汽研究院智能驾驶技术部部长 广汽L3/L4无人驾驶技术总监郭继舜以“最后一公里|自动驾驶量产先行者”为题深入介绍了最后一公里自动驾驶的ACV技术和最后一公里的技术安全和可靠性。且提出了广汽正在大力推进记忆式泊车、自主泊车技术的落地,预计2020年底实现量产。

新一代的智能传感器SDR1毫米波雷达发布


纵目科技副总裁,智能传感器事业部总经理李旭阳博士首先发布了最新一代的智能传感器SDR1毫米波雷达,SDR1雷达致力于提供低成本、全天时、全工况的环境感知解决方案。SDR1雷达在传统角雷达ADAS功能的基础上,针对泊车的典型应用场景(地下/地面停车场、园区等)进行专项优化,能够完美的契合泊车场景的各种应用需求。SDR1雷达兼顾了低速泊车场景和高速ADAS,可以在夜间、刮风、下大雪等极端情况下工作。将于明年的Q4实现量产。


李旭阳博士认为纵目的毫米波雷达有如下4点优势:

1.全球的汽车毫米波雷达市场上第一款可以用于低速无人驾驶的4D毫米波雷达。用了RFCMOS技术和2D的MIMO技术,可以把水平、垂直角度检测精度做的非常好。

2.可以输出可比拟激光雷达的致密点云信息,清晰勾勒出周边建筑物轮廓,从而实现基于雷达点云的高精度定位。

3.探测盲区小,相比较普通毫米波雷达最小检测距离在50公分到1米,SDR1毫米波雷达可以达到10公分。

4.价格便宜,SDR1毫米波雷达是激光雷达的五十分之一,而且可以用十年而不是用几千个小时就要更换,所以它对无论是对无人驾驶泊车还是高速无人驾驶都是非常有吸引力的。


新一代L3级别Drop’n Go平台和第二代自主泊车系统
(AVP Gen.2)发布

纵目科技副总裁,智能驾驶事业部总经理王凡,发布了新一代L3级别Drop’n Go平台和第二代自主泊车系统(AVP Gen.2)产品。

王凡说, Drop’n Go平台是纵目下一代L3级别泊车系统平台。分为两个版本:Lite和Premium。二者的传感器区别在于4D毫米波角雷达,功能区别在于L3级别的两个功能,原路返回和HPP。

原路返回功能考验的是定位能力,在窄胡同里车的定位误差控制在20公分以内。纵目Drop’n Go回到原点的误差可以控制在10个公分以内,精度已经比国外同类产品提高了5倍。

HPP,Homezone Parking pilot,也称为记忆式泊车系统,它通过车辆自身传感器,学习、记录并储存用户常用的下车位置、停车地点及泊车行进路径。然后当用户驾车再次到达记录的下车位置时,系统提示“HPP无人泊车功能”可以使用,此时驾驶员只需下车,通过手机APP操作,车辆就可以精准地自动驶入停车位。与AVP最大的不同点是应用区域不需要提前采集高精地图,更适用于家庭园区和办公场地等常用场所。

基于非常出色的建图能力,融合的毫米波雷达和摄像头的SLAM技术,实现了非常好的对环境的适应能力以及定位鲁棒性。纵目的HPP适用于各种复杂应用场景,比如有地面、地下、跨层、车道线的磨损或者没有车道线;适用各种应用环境,比如白天、夜晚、黄昏、刮风、下雨、雾霾等等。


在隆重发布第二代自主泊车系统(AVP Gen.2)之前,王凡先回顾了一下2017年在北京发布的AVP Gen.1,当时该产品是第一次用环视摄像头在地下停车场实现定位的功能,是世界上第一个没有使用激光雷达的L4泊车方案,典型的场景是商场的地下停车场。

AVP Gen.2主要传感器采用4个鱼眼摄像头,12个超声波传感器,4个4D毫米波雷达。在4颗环视摄像头摄全部被遮挡的情况下,Radar only AVP也可以完整实现AVP的功能。因为纵目的毫米波雷达可以输出可比拟激光雷达的致密点云信息,清晰勾勒出周边建筑物轮廓,从而实现基于雷达点云的高精度定位。

第二代自主泊车系统


基于纵目新一代毫米波雷达和视觉算法深度融合,可支持地面、地下、跨层通道等更多场景;支持白天、晚上、雨天等更多环境;定位算法鲁棒性提升;避障、绕行,安全性提升,可以支持更复杂的ODD。新增了办公园区、写字楼、酒店三种场景。

2019在8月份,纵目科技(上海)股份有限公司(以下简称“纵目科技”)宣布纵目科技科技顾问委员会正式成立(英文全称Technical Advisory Committee,以下简称“Z-TAC”)。Z–TAC 由自主泊车系统、汽车多传感器系统、全球导航卫星系统(GNSS)、定位和导航科技、机器视觉、机器智能、定位以及导航标准等领域的专家组成。首批三位成员为Naser El-Sheimy教授, 高扬教授和 Aboelmagd Noureldin教授。

    Christian Heipke是来自汉诺威莱布尼兹大学摄影测量学和遥感技术的教授,主要研究领域包括摄影测量学,遥感技术,图像理解,图像理解与计算机视觉的关联及地理信息系统。1992年获得了国际摄影测量和遥感学会奥·冯·格鲁贝尔奖,2012年获得该学会的弗莱德多伊尔奖。2013年获得了美国摄影测量与遥感学会费尔柴尔德奖。

    Christian Heipke教授当前担任国际摄影测量与遥感学会主席,曾在2004到2009年他担任欧洲空间数据研究机构的副主席,2011年到2014年担任德国大地测量委员会主席

CES 2020

2020年1月7日,国际消费电子展CES 2020在美国拉斯维加斯开幕,随着汽车行业和科技的融合,CES每年都有越来越多的汽车相关企业参加,逐渐成为了汽车行业科技化的风向标。CES也专门设立了自动驾驶论坛。


纵目科技携新品参展

在展会上,纵目科技与客户和业内伙伴进行了深入沟通,交流了自动驾驶量产落地经验,关于泊车产品和辅助驾驶产品的未来发展趋势。



全新的十年

2020年的到来,汽车行业的下一个十年将会是全新的十年,自动驾驶在全新的十年中将会飞速发展,纵目科技将会在自动驾驶和泊车领域不断地创新、突破,为客户和用户打造更好地产品。

与人类驾驶时眼睛的功能一样,传感器作为感知技术(Perception)的输入设备来感知周遭环境:无论是用户已经能在量产汽车中体验到的level0-level2的辅助驾驶技术,还是未来几年将会走进千家万户的Level3-level4的自动驾驶技术,传感器都将是十分关键的部件。

在实际工作中,传感器及其系统不仅要对动态目标(包括距离、速度等)进行检测与识别、跟踪及分类,同时也要检测出静态物体(包括尺寸、轮廓等)的存在并进行特征信息的提取,而这些信息正是系统对各类场景进行分析和做出正确决策的核心。可以说,传感器的性能将成为决定整个系统功能的关键。

除了对感知技术的贡献,传感器也肩负着为高精定位系统提供重要参照目标(Infrastructure)位置信息的使命,进而通过定位算法确定本车在全局坐标系中的位置。

01.摄像头

纵目的摄像头产品基于机器视觉定制化开发,有360度全景摄像头,后视倒车摄像头,ADAS前视摄像头等全系列产品。


02.超声波传感器

通过与战略伙伴的合作,纵目超声波传感器满足德国AK(保时捷,大众,宝马)传感器标准。

具有探测距离远,性能可靠,通用性强的优点;支持PDC(倒车雷达),APA(自动泊车),BSD(盲区检测预警),AEB(低速自动紧急刹车)等功能。

纵目自主开发的超声波信号处理算法,可针对典型泊车场景和紧急刹车功能(AEB)进行特殊优化,实现自由空间(freespace)检测,目标生成,障碍物高低探测等功能。


03.毫米波雷达

纵目科技致力于提供低成本、全天时、全工况的环境感知解决方案。毫米波雷达产品能够满足不同等级的自动驾驶需求,可针对客户的实际功能需求(如ADAS功能,泊车功能、TJP功能、HWP功能等)实现从Level 0到Level 5的全系列功能覆盖。


ZM-SDR1毫米波雷达传感器

ZM-SDR1(Short Distance Radar Gen 1)雷达在传统角雷达ADAS功能的基础上,针对泊车的典型应用场景(地下/地面停车场、园区等)进行专项优化,能够完美契合泊车场景的各种应用需求。


ZM-SDR1雷达兼顾低速泊车场景和高速ADAS场景,可提供BSD/LCA/DOW/RCW/RCTA/RCTB等ADAS功能;可输出3D点云信息,自由空间信息、目标跟踪信息,可在夜间、大雾、雨雪等极端情况下工作。

ZM-SDR1具有以下优点:

1.全球汽车毫米波雷达市场上第一款可用于低速无人驾驶的4D毫米波雷达。采用RFCMOS工艺和2D的MIMO技术,可做到水平、垂直角度高精度检测。

2.可输出可比拟激光雷达的致密点云信息,清晰勾勒出周边建筑物轮廓,从而实现基于雷达点云的高精度定位。

3.探测盲区小,相较于普通毫米波雷达最小检测距离在50公分到1米,SDR1毫米波雷达可达到10公分。

2020年4月23日,上海,纵目科技(上海)股份有限公司宣布获得重庆长安汽车股份有限公司多款车型的APA6.0平台量产项目,双方进一步深化战略合作并联合开发新一代的智能泊车系统。纵目科技将为长安提供包括控制器,环视摄像头和超声波传感器的泊车系统总成,该平台生命周期订单预计超过10亿元。

On September 20, 2020, Voyah held its first global partnership meeting in Wuhan.
